My Heart Overflows

November 6, 2015

by Angela Miller

1655990_10152240142917490_950623893_nHoly wow! My heart is overflowing! What a whirlwind week. I can’t thank each and every one of you enough for all the kind comments, emails and love that has flooded my inbox and A Bed For My Heart social media the past few days. Since 7 Things I’ve Learned Since the Loss of My Child went viral, I have received countless virtual hugs and love from every corner of the globe. It has been an honor to “meet” each one of you. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am so grateful to each of you who have taken the time to connect with me.

In the last few days books have been flying off the shelves! Know I am working as quickly as humanly possible, but because this is a one woman show– me!– and because each book is hand packed with love by yours truly, please allow up to 1 week processing time on all orders. This will also stand true as we head into the holiday season, so please order copies of You Are the Mother of All Mothers + cards sooner rather than later if you’d like them in time for gift giving this holiday season! Last year November and December were by far our busiest months, and the order processing time was around 1-2 weeks at the height of the holiday Mother of All Mothers rush. Just something to keep in mind.

5th Edition Tribute Page Update: The 5th edition In Loving Memory Tribute Page is already over HALF full and counting! It has been incredible to see all the love pouring in from every corner of the globe. I can’t tell you how deeply honored I am to remember each of your precious children with you. This is the most sacred page of my book. I designed the book specifically with this page in mind, to have a beautiful place where bereaved families could honor and remember their children together. Each print run we open it again so we can honor more children gone too soon. If you’d like your child(ren) honored in the 5th edition, please order soon as I anticipate the page will officially close by the end of next week, if not before. It all depends on how quickly the second half of the page fills between now and then. Thank you to everyone who has reserved a spot on the memorial page. It is a great honor to say your children’s names with you. Know that people all around the world will be saying it with you too. There truly is no greater gift.

Please know I read every single message that comes my way– whether it’s a comment or an email– and I cry with each word you type. Thank you for sharing your hearts and your stories with me. I wish I could personally respond to each and every one of you, and hopefully I’ll be able to once there is a lull in my inbox. Until then, please be patient if you haven’t yet heard back from me, and know I have your words tucked safely in the back pocket of my heart.

5th Edition Print Timeline: I have received lots of questions regarding the process for the 5th edition Tribute Page. Here’s how it will work: Once the page is full it will officially close. Once the page closes my book designer will format/design the tribute page. After that you’ll receive a proof via email to carefully check the spelling etc of your child’s name and you’ll have the opportunity to sign off that it is correct before we go to print! Once everyone signs off on their child’s name, the final book files will be sent to the printer. It usually takes around 6-8 weeks for the book to be printed/bound and shrink wrapped once the printer receives the final files. Once the 5th edition of You Are the Mother of All Mothers is printed, all 2,200+ gorgeous copies will be shipped to me. Then, I’ll ship every Tribute Page order to you as quickly as possible. I anticipate you should receive your 5th edition books sometime in January, pending no printing delays. I will keep everyone updated via email as we go along.

Thank you again for allowing me to join my heart in solidarity with yours. Together we can remember we’re not alone.

Angela, I am so grateful for your website. I find comfort and understanding in hearing the stories of other mothers that have suffered the agonizing loss of their child and have somehow survived. How I wish with all my heart and soul that none of us had to bear such tragedy. The eloquent words name my pain and bring my emotions to the surface. The tears I shed bring moments of release and healing. Thank you for the opportunity to honor my beloved only child, my son, Ryan David Burdette. The joy and light of my life.

Thank you, for all you do. Your “7 Things” post was perfect and I shared it to my Facebook friends and family. They needed to read it. It will be 25 years this month {25 years into forever, I always say} and you have inspired me to write something. God bless, you. Thank you for giving us a voice. And, I am very sorry about your son.
I did lots of peer grief counseling back in the first years. Way before blogs. I am going to dog up some of my 24 year old thoughts.
Wishing you and yours the best possible season. I will be a regular.

Thank you for all you’ve done. Life twisted into a painful journey two years ago with the death of our son, Shawn. This is so helpful. I so wish none of us had to deal with such loss and heartache, however life has led us on a very difficult path and this helps so much towards a healing journey.
